Sunday's matchup between the Union and Chicago Fire was a sloppy game in Philadelphia. The final score was a 1-1 draw. Chicago, for the most part, broke up the Union’s chemistry on offense and defense until the 31:00 minute, when Chicago’s defender, Wyatt Omsberg, fouled Cory Burke. Burke came up behind Omsberg to try to touch the ball to score in a breakaway, forcing the Union to a free-kick. This allowed them to score a goal in the 36th minute. Philadelphia afterward had opportunities to score, but the chemistry was still an issue in the second half. Philadelphia had to make adjustments to not only improve offensively but to defend better to secure a point for this game.
