NFC Champs, the hard way!!

Nothing is easy, nothing! The Eagles won the NFC East and it wasn't easy. The Eagles won it the hard way playing with backups and guys off the practice squad. The Eagles limped to the finish line with only four starters on offense from the opening day lineup. It was amazing how this team pulled together and won four straight NFC east games to win the division with a 9-7 record. Head coach Doug Pederson and his coaching staff must get credit for an incredible finish to the season. The Eagles were 5-7 on December 1st and after losing to the Miami Dolphins their playoff hopes crushed, the Eagles ran the table and won four straight. How they did this is amazing! Four consecutive games they suffered significant losses due to injury. DeSean Jackson, Malik Jackson, Darren Sproles, Alshon Jeffery, Kamu Grugier-Hill, Jordan Howard, Nelson Agholor, Lane Johnson, Zake Ertz, Brandon Brooks, Jalen Mills, Hassan Ridgeway, Corey Clement and Ronald Darby all missed all or the majority of the season to injury. Football is a rough and tough game but this is crazy. Through it all there has been one consistent... Carson Wentz!!! He has played phenomenal!! The QB who couldn't get through a season healthy did just that. Not only did he make it through the season, he set a club record 4039 passing yards. He set the club record without one receiver with more than 500 yards receiving. Incredible, absolutely incredible!! They won with Heart, they won with teamwork, they won because they wanted it more then any other team did! The last four games of the season where so much fun and exciting to watch!! I hope the Eagles continue to shock the football world playing the underdog role again like they did in 2017. Overcoming adversity and proving all the experts wrong is so much fun!! Its a tribute to defying the odds and believing in yourself when no one else does. NFC East Champs the Hard way.... I'll take it any day!!!
