The Eagles give fans a Christmas gift!! Beat Cowboys 17-9.

The Philadelphia Eagles came to play on Sunday against the Cowboys. One thing the team needed to do was have a good start and secure an early lead. Playing from behind is tough enough but getting behind to the best offense in the league would be disastrous for a offense that needs a balance attach to run on all cylinders. The first two opening drives engineered by QB Carson Wentz were a thing of beauty. Wentz spread the ball around by hitting Greg Ward, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Miles Sanders kept the Cowboys guessing and Stymied them enough to get off to a 10 point lead early in the game. Wentz hooked up with TE Dallas Goedert on a beautiful TD pass on the second drive of the game and the Eagles never looked back. As Eagles fans are aware, NFC East contests are always close and never easy to win. The rest of the game had the Eagles faithful sitting on the edge of their seats for the rest of the game. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott playing injured with a shoulder AC joint problem was not accurate with his passes and when he was several Cowboy receivers dropped passes to end drives. The Eagles defense was stingy against the run and held Zeke Elliot to under 50 yards and prevented the Cowboys offense from scoring a TD all game!! What a win for an Eagles team decimated by injuries and have had to overcome adversity to bring their record to 8-7 and first place in the NFC east and headed to the playoffs with a win this Sunday against the NY Giants in East Rutherford NJ. Merry Christmas Eagles fans and enjoy this joyous season with your family and friends.
