What an at-bat from Luke Williams in the 9th inning

Luke Williams, Oh my Gosh

“Life has no remote. Get up and change it yourself,” stated Mark A. Cooper; author and geologist. Life doesn’t have a switch to make it easy for people to succeed. People have to prove to themselves they can work hard. Philadelphia Phillies rookie prospect Luke Williams did just that for his ball club last night in a walk-off win in the bottom of the ninth inning against the Atlanta Braves. The Phillies won 2 to 1.

What Happened in The Ninth Inning for Luke Williams?

This was the second night the Phillies were searching how to beat the Braves. Last night in the ninth inning, Philadelphia found that answer- Luke Williams. Prior to his winning run, Luke just couldn’t make contact. He struggled at the plate. It looked like a circle motion was getting in his way. In the last inning, Will Smith pitched a hanging slider to Williams, “ bam” out of the park it went! Luke subtracted that circle motion to hit the ball. With that stance, it allowed Williams to have more time and power to hit that inside slider out of the ballpark.
