As the calendar turns to December, the Philadelphia Eagles have five games left to turn things around. The Eagles have lost their last two games, and head to Los Angeles to face the 8-4 Chargers.
Eagles Quarterback Jalen Hurts has not played well since the Bye Week, and the offense has averaged a measly 15 points in their last four games. The defense hasn’t lived up to their potential either. The Birds defense has surrendered 898 total yards in their last two games after allowing 300 fewer over the previous two games (578 versus Lions and Packers).
The Bears offensive line was opening up holes that you drive a truck through on Black Friday. This Monday night, the Birds will be without Defensive Tackle Jalen Carter. It's gotten so bad for the Birds since the Bye week that their Offensive Coordinator Kevin Patullo had his house egged by unhappy fans. The Eagles better get back in the win column if they want to look like a team that has a chance to go deep in the playoffs .
The Flyers have played well with a 15-8-3 record and 33 points, they are three points behind the first place Capitals. The Flyers lost one of their best forwards last Monday against the Penguins; Tyson Foerster is expected to be out for two to three months with an upper body injury. While winding up to take a slap shot, Foerster dropped to the ice wincing in pain.
Foerster is tied for the team lead in goals with 10. Coming up, the Flyers have a tough stretch starting Sunday against the Avalanche, Tuesday against the Sharks, and Thursday against the Golden Knights.
The Sixers beat the Golden State Warriors 99-98 in an exciting game despite the fact that the Warriors' Steph Curry did not play. The Sixers are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings heading into the weekend.
It’s hard for the Sixers to get any continuity with both Joel Embiid and Paul George missing games with regularity, with the way the NBA allows players to miss games due to load management. We won’t miss any time this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim.
