March Madness is upon us with Conference championships concluding this weekend, determining many teams' fate for this year's NCAA Tournament. Who will be invited to the dance? Who will lose their slippers? The quest for college basketball’s "Holy Grail" starts with Selection Sunday and the much-anticipated games starts on March 14th and you can hear the First Four and the whole tournament on 973 ESPN FM. The nation will be mesmerized with wall-to-wall basketball all month long that will culminate with the National Championship game on April 3rd. Get your brackets and popcorn ready! The Locker Room will have plenty of Basketball to talk about this weekend and our own Mike Carlin has been courtside at the MAAC tournament at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City and we will get a full report on all the action.

Speaking of Basketball, the 76ers have won five of their eight games played since returning to action from the NBA All-Star Break. There are 17 games left in the regular season for the Sixers and they are third in the Eastern Conference standings, just two games behind the Boston Celtics for second place while 4.5 games back of the Milwaukee Bucks. The 76ers still have to play both of those teams one more time before the end of the NBA Regular season.

The Flyers finally dismissed General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Friday morning and elevated former Flyers star Danny Briere to interim GM. The once proud Flyers organization is in flux and they need to start going in a different direction to rebuild the Orange & Black. Hopefully this move is a sign that the organization can start building to be a better team soon as the fans frustration is at an all-time high.

The Phillies inch closer to the start of the 2023 MLB season, even though eight of their players left Spring Training to participate in the World Baseball Classic. Bryce Harper arrived in Clearwater this week as he continues to rehab his reconstructed elbow and the hope is that he will return to be the Phils' DH before the All-Star Break. The Phillies open up their season on the road in Arlington, Texas against the Rangers but who will be the team's fifth starter now that Andrew Painter has a sprained UCL in his elbow? Beware of the Ides of March!!

On Saturday’s show, Mike Carlin joins me in the studio as we talk all things basketball. Mike has been courtside at the MAAC Basketball Tournament at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City and he will report on all the action. The Sportsbook Consigliere Dave Sharapan checks in from Las Vegas with his insights on all the college basketball action. In Hour Two, we will hear from Steve Lenox who’s calling the College Basketball Tournament action on ESPN TV. Steve will give us his impression on this year's MACC Tournament. Plus we have Sixers, Phillies, and the Eagles to discuss on Saturday's show!

On Sunday’s The Locker Room with Billy Schweim, Mike Carlin will be back in the studio and doing double duty this weekend. We will recap all the weekend's College Basketball Tournament action. The Eagles are preparing for the 2023 NFL draft and we will examine who the Birds are looking at with their tenth pick plus who they will keep in Free Agency. We will talk Phillies baseball as they prepare for their upcoming season and discuss the Sixers busy month of March.
