Former Philadelphia Eagles defensive back Eric Allen will be inducted this weekend to the Pro Football Hall of Fame while former Phillies shortstop and World Series Champion Jimmy Rollins will be inducted into the Phillies Wall of Fame.

What great memories these two Philly greats gave sports fans over the years!  Eric Allen, who had 54 career interceptions and nine defensive touchdowns was one of the best cornerbacks ever to wear an Eagles uniform.

Rollins was the Phillies spark plug who led the Phillies to five consecutive National League titles, back-to-back National League pennants and a World series Championship from 2007-2011. We will look at both players' careers this weekend.

The Phillies made a major move at the trade deadline by acquiring flame-throwing closer from the Minnesota Twins Jhoan Duran. Duran, who throws over 100 mph is considered one of the best closers in the league. Did Phillies President of Baseball operations, Dave Dombrowski do enough to put the Phillies in a good position to

make a run to Red October?

The Margate Memorial Lifeguard Championships were postponed Friday night due to wind and rough surf conditions. The Margate Memorials will be rescheduled for Monday night from 6-8 pm. 97.3 ESPN radio will have all the action Live Monday night from the Beach in Margate.  We will cover it all this weekend in the Locker Room with Billy Schweim

On Saturday’s show, Producer Nick Earnshaw will be back producing in the studio with me.  We will talk Phillies baseball with former Phillies reliever and World Series Champion Scott Eyre.  Then the Eagles inch closer to the start of the pre-season and we will talk Eagles football.
