The Philadelphia Eagles improved their record to 2-0 by beating the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday Night Football despite a slow start to the game. The lack of preseason preparation for the starters showed again as Quarterback Jalen Hurts struggled to get the high-powered Eagles offense in gear. Hurts' First Quarter Turnover and offense slow start to the game led the Eagles' brain trust turned to newly acquired Running Back D’Andre Swift to run behind an outstanding offensive line to punish the Vikings. Swift rushed for 175 yards and had a Touchdown while carrying the ball 28 times. Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni heard the chants from the home crowd, “ Run the Ball” and he did. We will recap the Eagles-Vikings game this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim!

The Phillies dropped three of four games earlier in the week to the Atlanta Braves who clinched the National League East on Wednesday night at Citizens Bank Park. Despite the Phillies' flare for the dramatic comebacks, the Braves were just too much offense for the Phillies pitchers to handle. With 16 games remaining on the regular season schedule, the Phillies head to St. Louis to play the Cardinals. The Locker Room will break it all down this weekend!

On Saturday’s show, The Locker Room Youth Movement is back in the studio: Producer Nick Earnshaw returns to the show and "The Intern” Andrew Leeds is back for the second straight week. We will talk Phillies Baseball and recap the Eagles game on Thursday Night Football. Former NFL Veteran Punter who spent 22 years in the League and five with the Eagles, Sean Landeta checks in to talk football with us. Landeta owns two Super Bowl rings and we are looking forward to talking about the NFC East with him. In Hour Two, we are always privileged to hear from The Sports Book Consigliere Dave Sharapan who checks in Live from Las Vegas with his take on sports betting trends on this weekend's action.

On Sunday's show, The Locker Room broadcasts Live from the Tropicana in Atlantic City at Caesars Sports book through out the NFL season. Join Me, Mike Carlin, and former Kansas City Chiefs Wide Receiver Dave Klemic as we talk Eagles at 2-0 and get you ready for NFL Week Two Sunday Action. This Sunday we go “On the Mound” with former Phillies Pitcher Tommy Greene brought to you by the John R. Elliott Hero Campaign for Designated Drivers. Tommy talks Phillies baseball with us every weekend. Every Sunday during the football season we get the “Keys to the Game” with Fox 29 News Sports Anchor and 973 ESPN Eagles Writer Scott Grayson brought to you by Blitz’s Market in Ocean City. Scott gives his takeaways from the Eagles after two games. In Hour Two, we talk with my Fantasy Football Guru Brian Hartley brought to you by Charlie's Bar and Restaurant in Somers Point. "The Guru" will tell us which players to play this week in your Fantasy Fantasy League. Plus we will be giving away 5 pairs of tickets to South Jersey's original IMAX Theater inside the Quarter at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino inside Atlantic City.

All that and more this weekend in The Locker Room with Billy Schweim heard every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am to Noon on 973 ESPN Radio South Jersey.
