The Phillies opened up their four game series against the second place Atlanta Braves in a National League East rivalry series.  Thursday night was the first time the Phillies won a game when trailed by 4 runs or more against the Braves in 10 years.

The Phillies fell behind 4-0 but in the bottom of the sixth Brandon Marsh sparked the comeback by hitting a three-run home run. Then it was Nick Castellanos who put the Phils ahead for good, clubbing his 19th home run of the season and completing the comeback and leading the Phillies to a 5-4 win.

It was the 30th comeback win of the season for the Phillies. Nick Castellanos continues to swing a hot bat. Since June 17th Castellanos is hitting .304 with 10 Home Runs and 43 runs batted in.  Let’s hope the Phillies can continue their winning ways Friday night in the second of four games against the Braves.

The Philadelphia Eagles announced their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday and have turned their focus to prepare to play the Green Bay Packers in Brazil.  The Birds open the NFL season Friday night and all eyes will be on this marquee matchup.
