Phillies vs Yankees and Lifeguard Races Highlight Busy Weekend

This is a big weekend as our Philadelphia Phillies head to the Bronx to face the New York Yankees for a three-game series. The Phillies, who trail the New York Mets by a half game in the National League East, are startinga six game road trip, and look to make an impression up in the Big Apple.
Bryce Harper looks like he is back and has been outstanding. Over his last 10 games, Bryce is hitting .400 with five HR’s and has knocked in eight runs. He is on Fire!! Let’s hope the rest of the Phillies follow the leader!! Plus this weekend we will see Phillies great Dick Allen inducted to the Baseball Hall of Fame! Play Ball !!!!
The Dutch-Hoffman Memorial Lifeguard races are set for Friday night: Beach Patrols from Brigantine to Cape May Point will compete in the first of the Big Three Lifeguard races. 97.3 FM ESPN will broadcast Live from the Beach in Wildwood. Join me, Billy Schweim, former Chief of the Longport beach patrol Dan Adams, and former Lt. of the Ocean City beach patrol Jack Brooks, as we bring you all the action from 6-8pm. Next Friday, we will be in Margate for the Margate Memorials. Then on August 8th, we will be in Avalon for the South Jersey Lifeguard Championships.
The Eagles opened up training camp this week and all eyes are on the defending Super Bowl Champs. There are several positions that are up for grabs, including Safety, Number Two Outside Corner, and Right Guard.
