The Philadelphia 76ers selected V.J. Edgecombe with the third overall pick on Day One of the 2025 NBA draft.  Edgecombe, listed at 6'5”, is a Guard from Balyor who is very athletic at both ends of the court.  On Day Two, the Sixers drafted Johni Broome in the second round (35th pick), a versatile power forward who stands 6’10’ out of Auburn.  Both players' skill sets remind many NBA Analysts of the style of players who we just saw play in the NBA Finals when the Oklahoma City Thunder won in seven games over the Indiana Pacers.

Day One of the 2025 NHL Draft is Friday night, and the Philadelphia Flyers currently hold the sixth overall pick, three first round draft picks, and overall six picks in the first two rounds in this year's draft. The Flyers need to capitalize and add talent with all the  picks this year and acquire players with great hockey IQ and Character to make the Flyers a playoff contender.

The Phillies are lucky that both drafts are being held this week because their lackluster performance in Houston would be front page news.  The Phillies' bats fell silent and wasted three great pitching performances by their starting rotation.  Phillies starters has a 1.37 ERA this week but the offense went 26 ⅔ innings without scoring a run!

The Phillies offense only scored 1 run in three games in Houston.  The Phillies offense is very inconsistent and havae a roster that has so many needs that the President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski has his work cut out if he’s going to fill the holes in this lineup.
