What’s more American than Baseball, Apple Pie, and Fireworks? While America celebrates it’s 249th birthday, we celebrate one of the best starting rotations in baseball! The Phillies have three starting pitchers who are Top Ten in the National League, who all had incredible months of June.
Zack Wheeler, who won the NL Pitcher of the Month Award for June, had an ERA of 0.58 in five starts going 2-1 with 42 strike outs and only seven walks, overall with the second best ERA in the National League. Ranger Suarez's ERA in June was 1.30 and his overall 2.00 ERA in Eleven Starts is better than all but one pitcher in MLB. Cristopher Sanchez had a 1.76 ERA in the month of June, and is 7th in the NL in ERA this season. All three pitchers should make the All Star team!!!
The Sixers are getting ready for the summer league play to start and the Flyers rookie camp is underway in Voorhees, New Jersey. All of the Flyers draft picks are there and Flyers New Head coach Rick Tocchet gets his first opportunity to evaluate the new prospects.
