The Hot start that Philadelphia Sports Fans have wanted the Phillies to get off for the 2024 season has happened. In fact, the Phillies have the best record in baseball heading into action on Friday at 26-12 and their third-best start in franchise history after 38 games.
Next up for the Phightens is a series with the Marlins in Miami, a team with the second worst record in baseball. Ranger Suarez, who has been spectacular, 6-0 with a 1.72 ERA, striking out 46 and only walking six takes the mound Friday night. Both Suarez and Zack Wheeler are in the conversation for National League Cy Young early in the season.
The Eagles welcomed their 2024 NFL Draft picks and Undrafted rookie free agents to the team's Rookie minicamp last weekend. On Thursday, the Eagles' new offensive and defensive coordinators held press conferences. Local Pennsylvanian Vic Fangio and former NFL Quarterback Kellen Moore spoke about their expectations and goals for the 2024 NFL season.
Finally, Boxing is back at the Tropicana for the first time in seven years this weekend. South Jersey's Larry Goldberg from Boxing Insider Promotions brings the top young fighters from New York and New Jersey to Atlantic City on Saturday, May 11th. One of the featured fights on Saturday Night is Undefeated Junior Middleweight Justin Figueroa (8-0, 6 K0’s) from Atlantic City.
