The San Francisco 49ers come to town this Sunday in the first round of the NFL playoffs. Lincoln Financial Field will be buzzing when the ball is kicked off at 4:30pm. The Birds, back to back winners of the NFC East, enter their fifth consecutive postseason, will try to repeat as Super Bowl Champions.
The last time a Philadelphia sports team won back-to-back Championships are the 1973-74 and 1974-75 Flyers teams. I was in sixth grade when that happened! Boy, would I love to see that happen again!! The Locker Room crew will be in attendance to watch the Eagles beat the 49ers in the wild card round.
The Flyers lost in Overtime to the Craig Berube's Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1 on Thursday Night. Rick Tocchet’s Flyers, who are on pace to have 100 points this season, led the game 1-0 until former Flyer Scott Laughton tied it up at the 14:04 mark of the third period. The Flyers played without a few key players due to injuries, but still performed well, but just couldn’t put the game away despite several good scoring opportunities. Toronto won it
in overtime when Flyer killer John Tavares set up Easton Cowan for the game-winner. The Locker Room crew was there to witness Thursday night’s action.
The 20-15 Philadelphia 76ers are in Orlando to face the Magic at 7pm on Friday Night before they fly north to take on the Raptors this Sunday.
